Narrow Neck: an isthmus dividing the Megalong and Jamison valleys in the middle of the Blue Mountains National Park. Along the isthmus runs a rough gravel, sand and rock strewn path stretching 10 km through hanging swamp, dense bush, and then… almost nothing at all. At points, the track drops off and sheet cliff faces stretch out below.

Riding the path, a couple of weeks before the official onset of Spring, it was obvious that it had already arrived…
